Nepal will be able to play the women's Asia Cup cricket tournament. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has announced the schedule of the Asia Cup to be held in Dambulla, Sri Lanka in July, giving Nepal and Thailand a chance to play in the Asia Cup.

There was a provision that only the teams that reached the finals of the qualifiers would be allowed to play in the Asia Cup. Nepal, who played well throughout the tournament, was defeated in the last 10 overs in the semi-finals. but Nepal is now going to play the Asia Cup for the third time. Nepal previously played Asia Cup in 2012 and 2016.
Group 'A' of the tournament to be held from July 19 to 28 includes India, Pakistan and UAE along with Nepal. Group B consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Malaysia and Thailand. Nepal will play group stage matches against Pakistan on July 19, UAE on July 21 and India on July 23.
