Chief Minister Kandel on Wednesday appointed Ransingh Periyar of the Maoist Center as a non-departmental minister after a long tussle between the two major parties of the ruling coalition, the UML and the Maoist Center.

The Ministry of Social Development had a problem in cabinet expansion for a long time after both parties made it a matter of their reputation. But the meeting of both the parties held on Tuesday ended the division of the ministry. According to which, it has been agreed that the Maoists will take over the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning, Social Development, Industry, Tourism, Forestry and Environment and the Ministry of Water Resources and Energy Development.

The UML has got the ministries of physical infrastructure and urban development, internal affairs and planning and land, administration, agriculture and cooperatives along with the chief minister. On Wednesday, state chief Tilak Pariyar administered the oath of office and secrecy to the non-departmental minister Pariyar. He is an elected Member of Parliament from Humla 1 (A).

With the end of the division between the two parties, Chief Minister Kandel has started taking the vote of confidence from the Parliament on Thursday . For that, he has already registered a letter in the state assembly secretariat on Tuesday . A UML MP said that after the Chief Minister takes the vote of confidence, the Council of Ministers will be complete.

'He (the Chief Minister) was planning to administer the oath to 1/2 of the ministers when he took the oath, but he took the oath alone because of the Maoist stance,' he said, 'Initially the problem was the destruction of the ministry, now the number of aspirants to become ministers in both parties There has been a problem, but this matter will be solved within 1/2 days.
