14th President's Running Shield: Two golds for Badal and Sarita

Both won gold in the 800m race on Wednesday. On the first day on Tuesday, both of them also won gold in the 400m race . Badal clocked 2 minutes 05.55 seconds to cover the 800 meters on the Dashrath Stadium track. Vikram Bista from Sudurpaschim was second and Prakash Budha from Karnali was third. Sarita completed the distance in 2 minutes 28.5 seconds . Bhavna Karsal of Karnali came second and Anisha Tharu of Lumbini came third.

Vagmati became the first in male/female 4 x 100 meter relay . Among the students, Madhesh was second and Sudurpaschim was third. Among girls, Gandaki came second and Sudurpaschim came third.

Sukvir Pokharel from Far West won the gold in javelin throw. He threw the javelin 52.16 meters . Lumbini's Rahul Tharu was second and Ravi Chaudhary was third. Karnali's Sarita Bick won the gold in the women's category. She threw 31.54 meters . Pooja Saud from Sudurpaschi won silver and Divyakala Tharu from Lumbini won bronze.

Ramesh Tharu of Lumbini won the gold by jumping 6.64 meters in long jump students. Sunny Choudhary of Sudurpaschim came second and Ashish Mahar came third. Pranisha Mahato of Vagmati stood first in Chhatra. Pranisha jumped 4.95 meters . Nisha Gharti of Gandaki was second and Renuka Iyer of Sudurpaschim was third.

Volleyball

The semi-final equation for girls' volleyball in Rakhep's covered hall has been completed . Wagmati and Gandaki states from group 'A' and Lumbini and Koshi states from group 'B' reached the last four. In the best of three competition, four provinces competed in group 'A' and three provinces competed in group 'B'.

In the semi-final on Thursday, there will be a competition between Wagmati and Koshi and Lumbini and Gandaki . In Group 'A', Wagmati defeated Gandaki 25-13, 26-24, Karnali 27-25, 25-12 Rasudurpaschim Pradesh 25-10, 25-8 and became the group winners.

Gandaki beat Karnali by 25-20, 25-27, 15-8 and won 25-20, 25-22 over Sudurpaschim. Gandaki, who suffered the only loss in the group, became the runner-up . Group 'B' winners Lumbini beat Koshi 25-23, 25-17 and Madhesh 25-14, 25-21 . Koshi, the runner-up of the group, won the only victory over Madhesh 25-18, 25-18 .

In men's volleyball, Karnali and Lumbini of group 'A' made it to the semi-finals. Karnali and Lumbini have yet to play each other in this group of four states. The winning team will be the group winner . Karnali beat Sudurpaschim 25-20, 19-25, 15-8 and Koshi 25-22, 25-19. Lumbini beat Koshi 25-20, 25-19 and Sudurpaschim 25-22, 25-15 .

Taekwondo

On the first day of Taekwondo at the Taekwondo Hall in Satdobato, Wagmati won 3 golds out of 7 golds. Koshi has won 2, Madhesh and Karnali 1-1 gold .

Sargam Thapa won gold in student single poomsae, Supriya Bajgai won gold under 42 kg and Karan Dhauli won gold in student under 51 kg . Sanjal Shrestha, a student under 59 kg, and Pragya Pariyar, a student under 53 kg, won gold for Koshi . Nischal Dhami Tharu of Madhesh and Nishan Pyakurel of Karnali in the under 49 kg category won the gold in student single poomsae.

Usuma won four gold medals on Wednesday. Prince Tamang of Eloquence won gold in men's tai chi chwan at Rakhep Semi Covered Hall. Shirish Shrestha from Sudurpaschim won silver and Tilak Bahadur Budhamgar from Karnali won bronze. Lakshmi Tamang of Wagmati won the gold medal in the women's Thai event. Far West's Deepika Saud won silver while Koshi's Anjana Sardar won bronze.

Asilus Marik of Koshi won gold, Janish Nepali of Bagmati won silver and Yogesh Chaudhary of Sudurpasmich won bronze in student's naan chwan. Mamta Sunuwar of Wagmati won gold for this student. Sandhya Rana Chhetri of Karnali bagged the silver and Gyanu Bik of Sudurpaschim bagged the bronze.

Kabaddi male/female semi-final match being held at the National Table Tennis Training Center in Lanchaur has been completed. Sudurpaschim will compete with Madhesh and Lumbini will compete with Koshi. Women's semi-finals will be between Lumbini and Bagmati and Sudurpaschim and Karnali.

On the first day at the karate hall in Satdobato, Wagmati won the most 4 golds. Koshi won 2 and Lumbini and Sudurpaschim won 1 gold each. Eight gold medals were won in karate, which included 12 events. Renisha Rimal, Under 40 kg Karuna Gadhal, Under 50 kg Sirusar Bhuju and Under 47 kg student Rakesh Manandhar won gold from Wagmati.
