Fire broke out in different places of Dhankuta, loss of property worth lakhs

In three fire incidents in Dhankuta, millions have been lost. In the incident, when a house caught fire, the hotels and shops operating there were damaged. Similarly, due to fire in two community forests, important forest resources and water pipes have been damaged.
Due to the fire in Pakhribas Municipality 4 of Dhankuta, hotels and shops were damaged in the incident. Local Mira Karki Basnet's house has been completely damaged. District Police Chief Shyamsin Chaudhary said that all the goods of Roshni Shrestha's grocery store and hotel operated by Lilahang Rai of Arun Rural Municipality 7 of Bhojpur were burnt in that house. In the
incident, around 1 million worth of damage has been done. It is said that Rai, the owner of the hotel, was cooking vegetables when the fire was ignited by castor oil. The fire was brought under control with the help of army, police and local residents along with two fire engines of Dhankuta Municipality.
Similarly, a fire has damaged the Vadare community forest located in Dhankuta 3 on Saturday. A considerable number of local residents including 15 from Bhimdal Gana Salleri Barrack, 10 from Nepal Armed Police Force No. 6 Gulm and 11 from Nepal Police were deployed to put out the fire which broke out around 9 o'clock on Saturday morning. The police said that the fire was brought under control after two hours.
The fire in Janga community forest located in Choubise rural municipality-2 has damaged the water supply project pipe. It is reported that water distribution has been affected due to the damage to 180 meters of pipes of the local Namkhuwa Khola Tin Dobhane irrigation project. According to the police, there has been a loss of around 120,000 in the incident.
