A criminal complaint has been registered with the police against nine people, including the outgoing ward president of Biratnagar Metropolitan City-14, Baldev Yadav. A complaint has been lodged with the police saying that a sword was struck with the intention of killing two youths at Jatuwa in Biratnagar on the instructions of former ward president Yadav.
According to the victims, a group of 9 persons attacked 40-year-old Santalal Yadav and 30-year-old Prakash Yadav of Biratnagar-14 with a sword in Yadav's plan on March 29. Santalal is seriously injured by the sword. He is still being treated at Virat Teaching Hospital.
The family of the victim said that former ward chairman Baldev along with Ravin Yadav alias Shankar, 34, Phuleshwar Yadav, 44, Rajvesh Yadav alias Rojou, 31, Upnarayan Yadav, 46, Shankar Yadav, 42, Dhanpat Yadav, 65, 32 Dipesh Yadav and 62-year-old Jogilal alias Yogilal Yadav have filed a complaint at the local police office Rani. . Among them, Phuleshwar is under police custody.
On Thursday, Baldev is absconding after a complaint was registered at the local police office in Rani. The police suspect that he has gone to India. The victim's family is roaming freely in the defendant village mentioned in the complaint. Wavu Panchalal Yadav of injured Santalal said that because of them, there is still an atmosphere of panic in the village.
'The village itself is unsafe when those who throw swords are roaming freely in the village every day,' he said, 'The main accused of the incident is 32-year-old Dipesh Yadav who threw the sword. He is now walking freely.'
Morang police chief SP Navraj Karki said that those involved in the incident will be brought to justice. He said, 'Kitani complaint has been registered. The police are searching for the accused.'
Former Ward President Yadav is a person who has been released on bail by the order of the court in the duty life case. Yadav, who was charged with the murder of 55-year-old Samanand Yadav of Biratnagar-14, was released on 300,000 bail by the Morang District Court on 11th November 2077.
