One person died due to electric shock in Ilam. The police said that 42-year-old Dilip Kunwar of Ilam Municipality-5 was electrocuted while doing electrical work on Friday afternoon.
Kunwar was electrocuted at 11,000 volts in Mahbhir village of Ilam Municipality-8 while working on a new electricity pole being taken to Sandakpur Rural Municipality of Ilam.
Kunwar's dead body fell from the electric pole in a burning condition. Police said that the body of the deceased was taken to Ilam Hospital for post-mortem. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of District Police Office Ilam, Prakash Javegu informed that further investigation is being carried out regarding the incident.
