President Ramchandra Paudel has requested Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar to initiate the release of Nepali student Bipin Joshi, who went missing after the attack by Hamas in Israel.
President Paudel made this request on the occasion of the bilateral meeting held with them on Tuesday at Rashtrapati Bhawan Sheetal Niwas. The Qatari Emir came here on Tuesday afternoon on a two-day state visit to Nepal at the friendly invitation of President Paudel. President's Press Adviser Kiran Pokharel informed that President Paudel said that Bipin's release is a matter of great interest to him and asked the Emir of Qatar to take the initiative for his release.
Bipin Joshi is missing after being attacked by Hamas on October 7, 2023. On that occasion, the Emir of Qatar said that he had taken interest in this matter in the past and would take further initiatives.
