Mankamana cable car will be closed on Friday for emergency maintenance. Mankamana Darshan Pvt Ltd has informed that it will be operating regularly from Saturday.
Last March 7, the cable car was closed for a day for regular maintenance. A cable car is in operation from Kurintar in Chitwan to Manakamana in Gorkha.
Director Shrestha said that the cable car operates from 6:30 am on Saturday morning and from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. There are 34 coaches in operation in the cable car. In the 26 years that the cable car has been in operation, 18.4 million passengers have taken the service. According to Mankamana Darshan Pvt Ltd, 70 percent of which are Nepalese.
