Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of the Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has said that it is necessary to strengthen the trade and investment cooperation between Nepal and Russia by making good use of the bilateral relations. Dhakal said this during a meeting between the federation and the Federation of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation held at the secretariat of the Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Tuesday.

The delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries of the Russian Federation was led by the Chairman of the Russian Federation Sergei Katerin. In the meeting, Dhakal said that the Federation of Nepalese Industries and Commerce has been promoting and facilitating bilateral trade contacts and international trade cooperation since its establishment.

Dhakal said that it will help in promoting trade and investment relations in addition to continuing the relationship between Nepal and Russia. Dhakal believes that this partnership will open a new way of economic growth and development of both countries.

Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries of the Russian Federation Sergey Katirin said that Russian investors are willing to invest in Nepal. He said that he will take initiatives to inform more Russian businessmen about investment opportunities in Nepal. He said that since Russia is a big market, he will help Nepalese businessmen to export their products to Russia.
